MID-
CENTURY
MODERN

The clients of this newly remodeled Mid-Century Modern home requested their new landscape incorporate the use of boulders, gravel, lawn, and to transplant a large bird of paradise plant (original to the home). Birch River Design designed a new dry creekbed to soften the harsh lines of this Modern home. The creekbed was raised on a low berm that gently winds around the newly planted lawn for viewing from a distance. Three new trellises were added for the newly planted weeping atlas cedars, to help fill the void under the front clerestory windows. A new front path was added along with LED lighting. The color palette of the new plants repeat the accent colors of the home. The plant palette is primarily low water.
