PRICING
PARTIAL & FULL SCHEMATIC PLANS:
• Initial site visit and written design proposal: $95
(additional fees for long-distance site visits may apply)
• Remainder of design process: declared on written proposal
CONSULTATION:
For the client who doesn't need a plan but needs some guidance: $130 per hour with a 4 hour minimum
SENSORY COTTAGE
LANDSCAPE
With a previously unused back yard space consisting of little shade, a large grass lawn, and various undesired plants, this homeowner reached out to Birch River Design with the request for a Cottage Style Landscape. She wished for her landscape to include a smaller lawn, more usable space, and a variety of flowers that bloom throughout the year. We then created a design for this hot back yard with low water Californian, Mediterranean, and Australian native plants. The numerous California native plants in this landscape were selected not only for their drought tolerance, but also for their wildlife benefits. The original turf area was reduced and replaced with lower water turf. The patio next to the house was expanded and covered with flagstone. A smaller circular stamped concrete patio was added with posts for string lighting.
