DROUGHT TOLERANT LANDSCAPE

This newly remodeled homes’ previous front yard consisted of an empty dirt lot – a blank canvas that was in need of a design. This client requested a low-water, no-mow, all together low-maintenance front yard to compliment her home’s new look. Birch River Design’s solution to her request was a drought tolerant landscape with Californian, Mediterranean, and Australian native plants with the addition of succulents. The turf was replaced with a no-mow ground cover, helping to reduce maintenance and the use of chemicals. A new blue stone pathway with gravel accent leads up to the new front steps, also covered with the same flagstone.
